Ards & North Down Borough Council going green with electric mower from RD Mechanical Services.

Ards and North Down Borough Council, (ANDB) covering the Ards Peninsula, most of Strangford Lough and the southern shore of Belfast Lough has invested in electrification with RD Mechanical Services following the introduction of an electric mower, a Bahia Electric from Etesia.

The new mower replaces a petrol machine and will allow ANDB to deliver on their sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact. Additionally, ANDB will benefit from lower operational and maintenance costs, underlining the long-term benefits of choosing electric over standard petrol machines.

The new mower is already making a positive impact, with great feedback from the council team, especially on the ease of use, comfort and excellent stability.
